Abstract EN

This study aims analyze the impact of the public investment on unemployment rates in Algeria during the period 1990-2018.

Using an (ARDL model), considering that public investment is part of public spending such as spending on infrastructure, health, and education.

The study found a long-term equilibrium relationship between variables and a inverse relationship.

However, most of the expenditures were apportioned to housing and infrastructure programs, not in productive sectors, Thus, non-permanent employment was created, and unemployment was temporarily reduced.
