Abstract EN

This research highlights one of the grammarians who has a great importance in the heritage of syntax in Al- Andalos.

He is Abdullah bin sulyman, known as “Dorywid”.

He is an important grammarian who lived in the age in which the development of syntactic studies took place.

He was one of the pioneers in this field.

He adopted the Kofian approach despite the popularity of the Basri one.

Nothing has reached us from the explanation that Dorywid made about Alkesa’i's book some of his views, which we have, reached by hand of Abu Hayan in Altarshih in which Khatab Almardi disagreed with Dorywid's book.

Both of these books were lost.

At the beginning, the researcher briefly discusses the age in which Dorywid lived and his life.

He then moves to discuss some of his syntactic views and beliefs.

The research concluded by the features of his syntactic method and the most important findings.

The researcher believes that Dorywid followed the Kofians in their syntactic approach.

He also has unique views.

This indicates that he has his own vision according to the Kofian approach.
