The current study aims at identifying the initiative behavior among the children of kinder gardens, by verifying the objective of the research, which to measure the level of initiative behavior children of kinder gardens, the current study is limited to the kindergarten children in the city of Baqubah for the academic year 2017- 2018.

The research adopted the descriptive approach and applied the scale of the study to the randomly selected sample from the kinder gardens in the city of Baqubah, The sample consisted of.

(400) children selected from the research community.

To achieve the goal of the study, the research build the scale of the initiative, and extracted the characteristics of psychometric and face validility of the scale, and then calculated the statistical characteristics of the items.

The study found that there is a low level of initiative among the children of kindergarten.

The research came up with a set of recommendations and proposals.
