Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the image by which the Palestinian newspapers introduce the Palestinian youth.

It also tried to identify the most important press forms used by these newspapers to handle the youth issues, the most important sources on which they depend on, and the youth concerned issues they cared about.

In addition, it aimed at identifying reasons, solutions as well as results of the solutions for youth issues in the newspapers, and the image of youth they provide, the orientation of this image, strategies and types of frameworks through which those newspapers introduce the image of young people, reviewing the frames of reference, the actors and the paths of the evidences that was used in newspapers The study belonged to the descriptive research approach.

It used the survey methodology, and the case study methodology.

The study used content analysis form as atool.

The newspapers sample: "The Youth Times " newspaper in the West Bank in the period from September 2010 to August 2012 using the method of complete enumeration.

As for the most important results of the content analysis of the study, were that the 'newspaper report' appeared as the most commonly used form, then the 'newspaper article' in the both newspapers.

The 'creativity' issue was the most present among the study newspapers topics and it was followed by the issue of 'delinquency and suicide'.

The most presented image for young people was the image of the 'entrepreneur and effective'.

The 'conflict' was the most presented framework strategy.

The 'positive image' of youth people was the most visible followed by the 'negative image'.

The 'general frame' of the image was of the most prominent before 'the specified frame'.
