There are many approaches and models for Translation Quality Assessment (TQA), which are based on theories in translation and linguistics.

What are these approaches and models ? What are their potentials and Limitations ? What is the relationship between them ? The aim of this article is to introduce some of the most important approaches and models for TQA, both quantitative and non-quantitative, based on the descriptive analytical method.

The study concludes the importance of translation assessment with its different models, and the necessity of using them instead of relying on subjective judgement.
