Human societies across the historical period have faced pandemics and epidemics that have produced collective habits and behaviours that justify the status quo and try to live with its developments and achieve salvation from its repercussions.

The concept of "epidemiology psychology" emerged as a discipline within the humanities and social sciences, which envisages the analysis of various behavioural patterns at the time of pandemics and epidemics, based on several scientific fields, primarily history and anthropology.

The Maghreb was one of the geographical areas that witnessed during the modern era the succession of epidemics and different types of epidemics, whose impact included different aspects and categories, and we aim in this study to detect the psychological and social impact of these crises on the public.
