Abstract EN

This paper is concerned with observer-based feedback stabilization of networked control systems (NCSs) with random packet dropouts.

Both sensor-to-controller (S/C) and controller-to-actuator (C/A) packet dropouts are considered, and their behavior is assumed to obey the Bernoulli random binary distribution.

The hold-input strategy is adopted, in which the previous packet is used if the packet is lost.

An observer-based feedback controller is designed, and sufficient conditions for stochastic stability are derived in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs).

A numerical example illustrates the effectiveness of the results.
