Abstract AR

Abstract EN

This study was carried out on 9o rabbits (60 diseased; 10 freshly dead and 20 apparently healthy).

The diseased rabbits suffering from high morbidity and increased mortality with signs of respiratory disorders; in addition to death.

Bacteriological and histopathological examinations were done; as well as antibiotic sensitivity test of the isolated pasteurella.

The result of bacteriological examination revealed that Ppasteurella multocida was recovered by 48.88% from most examined cases; identified biochemically; and by using pathogeincity test.

Ecoli; staphylococcus areus; and Streptococcus pneuomoinae were also isolated with percentages (18.88%; 17.77% and 6.66%) respectively.

Antibiotic sensitivity test showed that all Pasteurella multocida isolates were highly sensitive to gentamycin and trimethoprim-sulphamethoxazol.

The most common histopathological findings were observed in the lung which revealed serofibrinous pneumonia, interstitial pneumonia and thrombosis of the blood vessels.

Other degenerative changes were also detected in the other internal organs
