Abstract EN

We contribute the quantitative descriptions of the large time scales for the Ethernet traffic to be Gaussian.

We focus on the normality property of the accumulated traffic data under different time scales.

The investigation is carried out graphically by the quantile-quantile (QQ) plots and numerically by statistical tests.

The present results indicate that the larger the time scale, the more normal the Ethernet traffic.
