After al-Andalus experienced a period of strife and fragmentation under the Party Kings, the Almoravids succeeded in imposing their rule on the region bringing security and stability.

Nonetheless, a number of anti-Almoravid revolts occurred in different parts of al-Andalus for various reasons.

These revolts played a big role in ending the Almoravid presence in al-Andalus and contributed to the fall of the dynasty in the Maghrib.
