تبحث هذه الدراسة في العوامل النفسية و الاجتماعية التي تؤثر على التطور الوظيفي للفتاة اللبنانية الجامعية.
حيث تم إجراء هذه الدراسة على عينة من 134 فتاة جامعية لبنانية يدرسن في كلية أمريكية خاصة في لبنان.
و قد شملت هذه الدراسة التحقيق في تأثير متغيرات مهمة مثل : التحصيل الدراسي الجامعي، و تأثير الوضع الاقتصادي و الاجتماعي على الطموح الوظيفي.
كما تم البحث في العلاقة بين هذه المتغيرات.
و من النتائج المهمة التي توصلت إليها هذه الدراسة هي أن المكانة الاجتماعية و الاقتصادية و نظرة الفرد إلى دور المرأة في المجتمع جميعها عوامل تؤثر في طموح المرأة الوظيفي.
كما سجلت هذه الدراسة آراء غير تقليدية حول النظرة السائدة إلى دور المرأة في المجتمع حيث أظهرت تعاطفا ملحوظا مع المرأة اللبنانية.
