they could -in the midst of their realization of the gravity of dealing with time-make machines that facilitated its calculation and determined the direction towards the kaaba -kibla.And that was a positive contribution in facilitating the dealing with time.

The development of this science among the Moslems was inspired and encouraged by the rulers and was brought about by the overwhelming desire of scholars to deliver a message of civilisation.
