Abstract EN

This historical study aims to attempt to research the question of the modern national state (1832-1847) in the thought and perceptions of Prince Abd-el-Kader al-Jazairi who sought to revive and resurrect it, and to frame it as an entity and existence despite the control of the French colonial expansion in the fragile state apparatus.

In this article, we expose the dynamic stages of the building of the princely state, starting from the foundations and principles that made this idea more crystallized in the minds of the prince, and reaching the practical act of embodying an Algerian state in all specifications and standards.

This state will have its own manifestations, and will be considered by the French occupation.

Even if the latter can undermine its pillars, it will certainly not be able to erase its effects in the conscience of Algerians, since it is an inspiring process and a unique experience in Algeria's modern and contemporary history.

Based on the facts and the scientific introductions that we have provided, we will investigate the practical aspects of the Prince's project to illustrate the dynamics of the active transition of the project idea from perception and theory to embodiment, structure and framing.

This can only be achieved by relying on the analytical historical approach because it is appropriate for these studies, and helpful in the deduction, understanding and cognition
