This paper has been aimed to show the different determinants which adopted by most important credit rating agencies (CRA) to give them sovereign ratings case of Greece, In order to achieve this we have: passed by the historical roots of credit rating and the most important agencies and symbols adopt by it, put the conceptual of sovereign credit rating, and focus on the most important indicators adopted by these agencies, and finally we analysed the sovereign credit rating of Greece, The study concluded that CRA use several quantitative and qualitative determinants to give sovereign credit ratings Such as the Greek debt situation.
