Abstract EN

This research paper aims to shed light on the reality of human development in Algeria in view of the evolution of its indicators, as contained in the Human Development Reports issued by the United Nations Development Program on the one hand.

On the other hand, by looking to the extent to which Algeria's commitments to the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), which the international community committed at the Millennium Summit at UN Headquarter in New York in 2000 to win its bet in 2015.

The study has concluded that Algeria was able to achieve good results in the field of human development, in 2018, it ranked 82nd globally and 07th in the Arab world out of 189 countries included in the ranking.

It has also been able to fulfil a significant portion of its commitments in relation to The Millennium Development Goals.
