Abstract EN

The importance of corporate governance has greatly increased to achieve both economic and legal development and social welfare for economies and societies, and thus taking an interest in the issue of governance takes an important place in the literature of the economy after the bankruptcy of some major international companies, and the exposure of other companies to great financial difficulties.

Through this research paper, we tried to shed light on the most important contractual theories in the institution related to corporate governance and relationship analysis and the roles of the various actors in the organization such as agency theory, transaction cost theory, property rights theory, and the theory of rooting.

Corporate governance in Algeria was also addressed by presenting and analyzing the principles and various actors involved with institutions according to the Algerian corporate governance charter launched by Algeria in 2009, and identifying the most important criticisms and shortcomings that must be remedied in the future.
