Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to analyze and demonstrate the competitiveness of the national industry and its contribution to the Algerian economy, by highlighting the contribution of both the manufacturing and extractive industries outside the hydrocarbons in the trade balance and employment.

The analysis of the competitiveness of the industrial sector allowed us to identify the most important steps taken by the production apparatus in Algeria during the period 2000-2016.

The production capacity of the industry reached the half during the study period.

It can be said that the industry in Algeria does not suffer from lack of potential or But the problems of the national industry are determined by good governance capable of leading the sector to excellence and access to world markets.
