Abstract EN

This study focuses mainly on an important aspect of work and what constitutes one of its fundamental rights.

It is the unemployment insurance system.

To focus on the situation of Algeria through detailing the various measures and provisions approved by the legal and regulatory texts on it, especially those relating to the National Unemployment Insurance Fund, and its mechanisms for the operation of this system.

All this in a historical context in which we tried to revert the first circumstances in which the need to provide workers who lost work involuntarily and for economic reasons known to Algeria in the nineties of the last century, with all the possibilities that the legislator calculated for such conditions in the future.

In the course of this study, we have chosen to make some comparisons through leading international models in this aspect (Britain, Germany, USA, Canada.

In conclusion of this work we suggested some solutions because of the shortcomings and disadvantages.
