Abstract EN

The law requires the victims of traffic accidents to gain the right to claim compensation for the material damage caused by these accidents to prove that the damage has really occurred as a result of the vehicle involvement.

However, in order to obtain such compensation from the insurance company, the owner of the vehicle must have been insured against the damage on the vehicle or caused to the others, but if the latter is not insured, the victims do not lose the right to receive compensation for the repair of the damage suffered; where the law allowed them obtaining the compensation from the vehicle insurance fund or claiming it in the courts, following a set of legal procedures and after the assessment of the compensation amount, according to the table attached to amended and completed order n°74-15.
