Morocco's tourism sector shows a remarkable development and progress, witch considered as the second job sector in the country, a key sector of the Morocco’s economy that provides 11% of national income, and it poses with Moroccan exports and remittances to morocco abroad, one of the most important sources of foreign exchange.

Morocco has adopted a clear strategy to promote the tourism sector in order to make the country one of the top 20 global tourism destinations by 2020.

in this regard, it has taken several measures and mechanisms to support and develop the tourism sector, and gave it future prospects based on quality and quantity in accordance with the so-called “vision 2020”.

we will try through this paper to identify the most important characteristics of the Moroccan tourism sector and the extent of its contribution to the development of the Moroccan economy, as well as the most important efforts and measures aimed at the development of this strategic sector.
