Abstract EN
The adsorption of Pb (II) from solution by polyvinyl acetate polymer was investigated.
Equilibrium batch adsorption experiments were performed by varying the concentration, time, and dose effects respectively.
The Pb (II) uptake increased and percentage adsorption of the Pb (II) decreased with the decrease in initial Pb (II) concentration.
The Pb (II) uptake increased and the percentage adsorption of the Pb (II) increased with the increase in contact time up to 30 minutes.
The Pb (II) uptake increased and the percentage adsorption of the Pb (II) decreased with the increase in the dose of adsorbent.
Both the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms were tested, and found well fitted.
