The study aimed to identify the problems facing school education in Jerusalem and ways of treating it.

The researcher used the descriptive approach, based on a number of official and non-official sources and a collection of documents and studies in the information survey on the status of public school education in the city of Jerusalem and its problems.

The study concluded to a set of results.

The most important: Politics: The political conflict between the Palestinians and the Israelis is the city and the imposition of sovereignty over it.

Culture: It is directly linked to education, and it has been shown through the previous few studies that there is almost complete lack of cultural movement in Jerusalem because the lack of public libraries, cultural clubs and scientific centers.

The number of supervisory bodies: Supervisors of education in Jerusalem are five (Islamic Endowments, Ministry of Education, Jerusalem Municipality, UNRWA and the private sector).

Leakage of students from schools: Most studies indicate that the rate dropout of students from Jerusalem schools ranges between 10% -15%, which is high, especially in municipal schools and Israeli knowledge.

Buildings and classrooms: Most of the previous reports and studies indicate that there is a severe shortage of buildings and classrooms in the Jerusalem schools, which led to overcrowding of students and culminated in 50 students per class.
