Over the centuries, it has witnessed considerable historical events except that they remained forever captive of their times.

From the 19th century some rare studies and research briefly touch on Hodna; in addition, they are only occasional references, mainly reports of directors, or short articles, and sometimes papers presented in scientific conferences.

However, they reveal rich information which led us to retrace some news and historical facts of which Hodna was the theater, then deduce a historical geography from an analytical reading of political events, from high antiquity to the arrival of Muslims
