Abstract EN

The aim of this study is to examine the determinants of FDI inflows in African countries.

In this study, for the period 1990-2018, panel data analysis was conducted using annual data from 13 African countries.

Modern econometric methods are used for data analysis, including the IPS Panel Unit Root Test to show the stationary level between groups, as well as the pooled mean group (PMG) estimation for short and long-run analyses.

Based on the PMG estimator, the results show that market size, trade openness, and inflation rate are all long term determinants of FDI inflows in the 13 African countries under study.
