Abstract EN

The Algerian market has experienced a crisis of an early austerity through the decline of oil barrel price which is the basis of the Algerian economy and its primary source of income.

Some decisions have to be taken to enhance the current situation by developing other sectors such as agriculture and mainly olive oils.

Unfortunately, this sector in is less competitive in the Mediterranean area, known by its olive cultivation, than our neighbor Tunisia, for example, which has known how to overcome the obstacles and has shown its performance in this field.

Tunisia is actually the world’s fourth largest producer of good olive oils.

This led us to venture into a comparative study between both markets, choosing the distribution of Olive Oils from the upstream to the downstream of the Supply Chain.
