Abstract EN

The study aimed to identify the problem of drug use by husbands: its causes, effects and solutions from the perspective of wives in Jordanian society, achieved its goals as the study tool was designed by the researcher to collect data using the random sample, which counted 140 wives of drug abusive husbands.

The study's founding shows that there is no specific cause for drug abuse, rather, it is a group of reasons and the most important of these included: lack of religious faith and bad companions.

Also, the most important economic effect of drug abuse was: “The loss of the main breadwinner of the family.

On the contrary, the most important social effects were: disability and inability to perform social duties.

While the most important proposals to limit the problem of drug abuse were awareness and increasing religious, social and health education about the harm of drugs.
