Abstract EN

This study examines the importance of adopting the principle of the stability of international borders and their finality as one of the principles necessary for the fulfillment of the international political boundaries, which is mainly the stability of relations between states.

The study revealed that this principle has been enshrined internationally in many international charters and conventions, as well as individual and collective declarations of many countries, to become a jus cogens base adopted by the international judiciary in many of its decisions concerning border disputes.

The study concluded that respect for the principle of the stability and end of international borders is a prerequisite for the maintenance of international peace and security.
