The study aimed-using the descriptive and analytical method and the comparative method - to identify the features of the library's image and its profession and compare it in a sample of Arab and foreign novels issued during the first and second decades of the twenty-first century, which consisted of four novels, which included a Serbian novel entitled "The Library", and a Japanese novel entitled The strange library, and two Arabic novels, namely: “al-Maktabaty” and “The Secret Library and the General”.

The number of covers on which the library’s image and profession was examined was six covers, of which two were in English, 33.3 %, and four were in Arabic, 66.7 % of them.

Two covers for the two foreign novels translated into Arabic by 33.3 %, and the study found that five covers, 83.3%, were interested in the library image, compared to a lack of interest in the cover of one novel by 16.7 %, and the design of the covers of the study novels was in accordance with their titles and expressing their content by 66.7 %, compared to Inconsistency by 33.3 %, and four covers, by 66.7 %, showed the library's image positively, compared to negatively appearing on two covers by 33.3 %, and the covers of study novels did not interest the library profession, which means Q In terms of its content, the library's image was positive in three novels by 75% and negative by 25 % in the novel of the strange library.

As for her profession, it paid attention to two novels by 50%, and in three stories Of them, 15.8 %, especially for the stories that were the focus of attention of the public library, and there were three libraries, and 8 employees were employed, of whom 75 % were males with six employees, their features focused on the fact that the majority of them were elderly, with major roles, unfriendly, and predominantly They have to be stereotyped in performing their work.

As for the females, they appeared in only one novel, which is the novel of the strange library, and their number reached 25% of employees, one of them focused in the fact that she was in the middle of her life, eccentric, and in a secondary role and was dominated by severity and rigor in her dealings, and stereotypical performance Her works, the second was a fictional character, she appeared in the image of a beautiful girl from the age of the protagonist, but she was mute and dealt with sign language, with a minor role.
