Abstract EN

This article tries to analyse the dynamic of inclusion and exclusion in Algerian politics by insisting upon the paradoxes and complementarities it implies.

We will direct our research towards demonstrating how this dynamic have increased the resilience of the political system.

We'll also explains how inclusion is applied with some political parties, mainly: the National Liberation Front (FLN) and, the National democratic Rally (RND, and in some extent with new client: the Movement for the Society of Peace (MSP)(between 1999 and 2012) and later on with Tajamou Amel el Djazair and the Algerian Popular Movement (MPA).

In addition to those actors we can include the traditional or informal networks of influence (zawaya, trade and workers unions, some media, etc) and the previous radical Islamist opponents.

The next step analyzes the different ways used by the Algerian rulers in order to exacerbate and manipulate exclusion.

Our main concern is to show how exclusion can be an excuse to prevent domestic political instability as well as the consequence of the compromises the actors have chosen to do.
