Abstract EN

This research seeks to reveal the image of the Algerian in French colonial; avoiding the occurrence of totalitarianism and the repetition of previous studies, three French writers were selected as examples.

The first two writers as well.

Eugène Daumas an orientalist and one of the military men, the second of them Eugène Fromentin a painter and romantic writer, were born in France and visited Algeria at the beginning of colonialism, where as the third writer Albert Camus was born and raised in Algeria but left it irreversibly because of his intolerance towards his motherland.

All the three writers took Algeria as the subject matter of their literary writings.

However, it is evident that the Algerian people was considered as a topic but not an audience they were ent in these writers literature as they were not addressed by any speech.
