A Semantic Dimension in the Morphological Interpretation of the Quranic Readings – Ibn Jinni”This study deals with the link between two linguistic levels: morphology and semantics.

It aims to highlight the interaction between the morphological function and the semantic function by examining the most important morphological phenomena whose interpretation depends on meaning, such as definiteness, indefiniteness; masculinity and femininity, which were addressed by Abu Al-Fath (Ibn Jinni) in his book “Al-Muhtaseb”.

The study followed the descriptive and analytical method.

Among the most important findings of the study are: the emergence of the morphological significance clearly in the morphological deviation, and that the early grammarians' thought often links between morphology and semantics as is the case with the remaining linguistic analysis levels.
