Abstract EN

Silence is essentially avoiding speech and insisting on reticence, imbued with a hidden meaning.

Silence enriches a text by providing it with different layers of interpretation, andpromotes a text by enabling it to have different readings.

Silence in modern text changes to an extensive space to dissarrange the sameness of stereotypical phrases,the phrasewhich do not enforce the reader to think or interpret the text.

In silence poets have discovered deep emotional significations that cannot be conveyed even via simple language.

In this paper, we try to investigate the issue of silence and its sifnifications in the poetry of Hassan Ali Al-Najar.

Through tracing this phenomenon, we located the poet to focal point on in the context of his discuss of sadness, ache and refraction, as if the language is incapable of expressing the magnitude of these sorrows, but as if the speech does now not work, find in the silence of rhetoric suggestive and a short indication.
