The research seeks to highlight the importance of small and medium projects through explaining the role of the central bank in financing these projects.

Iraq is one of the countries that need such projects to overcome the problems of poverty and unemployment and provide the necessary materials to meet the needs of society.

The initiatives of the Central Bank of Iraq in supporting small and medium enterprises (SMEs) were of great importance.

Which adopted specific criteria in the distribution of amounts and should take into consideration broader criteria and stand on the need of the subsidized sector or the need for the province to achieve those projects an active role in economic and social development and achieve a balance between the provinces in financing and development.

Therefore, the research came to shed light on those initiatives (the initiative of (1) trillion, the initiative of (5) trillion) and its evaluation by setting its direction and the correction mechanism.
