The chronological system in one of the most important structures of the discourse in general and of the novel discourse in particular.

It contributes greatly to the way in which the events of the story and the breaking of its chronology are carried out through narrative techniques created to overcome this natural sequence of events.

Time paradoxes with its two types: Preceding and reclaiming, which included in the novel of ''Hizia'' novel of Abd Elmalek Mortadh, contains overlapping and multidimensional times.

In most of his novel, the novelist is keen to stop the process of going back to the past or jumping into the future.

This applied study attempts to reveal the method of employing these time discrepancies in this type of discourse, and to what extent the novelist relied on each type.
