The study tackles money laundering, its definition, characteristics, practical framework, methods, stages, and effects.

The paper suggests mechanisms to face money laundering.

The conclusion presents the results and recommendations.

The results include how the money launderer evades penalty because of the difficulty of proving that he be aware of the essence of this money and its illegal source.

One of the recommendations is that confiscation in such crimes must include the assets acquired through the illegal business of drug trafficking and already laundered, the ones to be laundered, and the money acquired by exchanging or transforming these assets.
