Abstract EN

The present study aimed to identify the attitudes of the kindergarten teachers towards learning the integrated children with disabilities and investigating the effectiveness of a training program to train the kindergarten teachers on designing educational aids for children with disabilities in improving their attitudes towards leaning integrated children with disabilities.

the study sample consisted of (85) kindergarten teachers from Sohag governorate, (25) of them have been selected to apply the training program as an experimental group.

they were trained for (5) weeks with (20) sessions, each session consisted of (90) minutes on designing educational aids for different sets of children with disabilities through a UNICEF program.

in order to identify their attitudes towards learning integrated children with disabilities, the researchers prepared some tests and a questionnaire of the attitudes of the kindergarten teachers toward learning integrated children with disabilities.

the psychometric properties of the scale were verified.

the researchers used some statistical methods such as the mean, standard deviation, eta square for identifying effect size, and t-test.

the results showed that the attitudes of the kindergarten teachers towards learning integrated children with disabilities was moderate, such as the average answers in the total questionnaire was (2.76).

the results indicate that, there was statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the kindergarten teachers in the experimental group on the questionnaire of the attitudes towards learning integrated children with disabilities in post-test and pre-test in direction of the pre-test, and there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the kindergarten teachers in the experimental group and control group on the questionnaire of the attitudes towards learning integrated children with disabilities in direction of the experimental group, which indicates the effectiveness of the training program in improving their attitudes toward learning the integrated children with disabilities.

there were no statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the pre-test and follow up-test (one month after the end of the program implementation) of the experimental group on the questionnaire of the attitudes towards learning children with disabilities.
