التطلعات السياسية للشباب المصري : دراسة ميدانية لممثلي الحزب الوطني الديمقراطي من الشباب في محافظة كفر الشيخ

Abstract EN

The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze the question of political aspirations among the Egyptian youth by applying it to a sample of young people representing the National Democratic Party’s units at El Hamoul town and Kafr El sheikh governorate .This is done by reviewing the following main points : 1- The personal and social characteristics of these youth 2- The most important reasons that encouraged these youth to seek membership of the National Democratic Party, the key motivations that made them nominate in the elections, and the most prominent difficulties they faced during the nomination period till the day of the elections.

3- The level of political aspirations among these youth 4- The role of the surrounding social milieu and the extent of its influence and effect on them.

5- The candidates’ mechanisms, the key features of their election programs and their future plans.

The key findings of this study are : A- Several and different factors encouraged the sample of respondents from the National Democratic Party to be interested in politics, the thing which provided them with an opportunity structure that gave them the chance to aspire to political activity and to engage in political life and make use of it, such as : their love of their society, their feelings of civic duty towards it through improving its services, working to better the youth’s conditions, combating unemployment, ameliorating drinking water and other services.

B- The surrounding social milieu played a great role in supporting the sample of respondents and encouraging them a lot to engage in political action ; the thing which led to an increase in their political aspirations.
