Abstract EN

This research displays the manifestations of fancy in two Palestinian Novels: ((Aaw)) for Ibrahim Sasrallah and ((The Dark Eye)) for Zakareyya Mohammed.

It discusses and analyze these manifestations through an entrance , two axes and a conclusion.

Within the first axis "The semiology of title & name ", the research pursues the title and name as indicative sings in the novel , then shows the indications of theses signs and their relationship to the contents of the novel and the message it conveys.

Within the second axis "The modernity of the narration & the oddity of the event" , the research discusses the categories of narration and their manifestations.

It also indicates by using quotations and parts of the novel the way fancy is narrated, and its effect on the structure of the fancied event.

Eventually the research reaches to a significant conclusion: Fancy is a double-edged weapon, like any other literary trend.

It can enriches literature, activate its role, and shows its indications forming the consciousness and rising of man.

On the other hand, fancy can be turned by the writer into ambiguity that works as a barrier in the way of man's consciousness and enlightenment.

Therefore, literature may lose its role and turns to a frustration factor added to many other that control reader in specific and man in general.
