سد دربنديخان و تأثيراته الهيدروجيومورفية على نهر ديالى بين سدي دربنديخان و حمرين باستخدام GIS

Abstract EN

This research concludes that there is an impact comes from the construction of Darbandakhan dam on the quantity of drainage and the geomorphological water areas in this area.

The analysis of Diyala river during (1926- 1961) before the construction of Darbandakhan dam clarifies that the yearly average of water drainage 2102.5 s/m3 while after the construction during (1962- 2016), the yearly average 1990 s/m3.

The effects of the construction of Darbandakhan dam include the whole area as it is clear from the empirical studies that there is clear collapses to the river bank specifically the concave areas and also show a group of islands that do not exists before the construction of the dams and the extension in the islands of Darbandakhan and Himren.

The study also shows that there are changes in the water surfaces in the area after the construction of Darbandakhan dam due to the changes of the water surfaces from 2.57% in 1952 to 27.7% in 1985 and it decreases in 2000 to 24.3% and in 2016 forms about 28.7% .
