Abstract EN

The problem of soil salinity which soils of Khanan District suffers of, because elements of nature and other by humans.

This research is shed light on the range of effect of these elements in salinity and what are the reasons that stands behind its variable distribution.

Through this study it seems that the area suffers from severe salinity in Southern and South-East parts.

This simple descending had an effect in limiting the type of irrigation and difficulty of extra water drainage.

The area of study lies within a desert climate which can be described having high temperature degrees, high percentage of water evaporation, and less rain fall which leads the increase of salinity problem.

The study showed that the surface and underground water which were used in irrigation process contained high percentage of salinity.

This has been proved after observing the results of analyzing the samples of salinity in water taken from area of study.

The human factors showed the misuse of human for soil and water leaving the land salty without making advantage of it.

Also, the deprivation of sufficient drainage canals which serves farming lands lead to the appearance of huge areas in area of study not being agriculturally used and reformed properly all this effected clearly on the spread of salinity problem.
