Abstract EN

Through this study which was based on the poetic language of Ibn Rasheeq, the researcher tried to search for the theoretical views of Ibn Rasheeq Al- Keirawani which are related to the poetic language, balancing them with his poetry and identifying the extent to which he applied these views or contradicted them.

Ibn Rasheeq distinguished the language of poetry from the ordinary language.

He raised the issue of the word and meaning, and then, in the language of poetry, he warned of several things, including: affectation, complexity, authorization, useless prolongation, poetic necessities and stuffing, but he often contradicted his views.
