Abstract EN

In the current study, the level of verbal communication within Algiers’s families was addressed as an important social phenomenon resulting from globalization and the wide use of the internet.

Besides, the most important changes and effects of internet use on verbal communication among Algiers family members were explored; for instance, language, speech, words, and symbols.

Hence, an analytical descriptive approach was adopted and a non-randomly sample of families from Kouba municipality was selected.

Besides, an online questionnaire was designed and submitted among different groups across social media sites, in which nearly 042 questionnaires were filled out.

The results show that there are profound verbal effects; a western creolization to Arabic language in writing and speaking was detected, and a dominance of hybrid writing across the media was identified, in addition to other important results.
