The reality of the contemporary novel and its aesthetics are determined according to a set of criteria.

Perhaps its view of the city is considered an important measure, because the city as a spatial phenomenon subject to the evolution of time and its transformation, focused on the contemporary novel and shipped with symbols, dimensions and complex intellectual connotations.

From this standpoint, our research seeks to read a man’s account of Malika mokaddem, which has taken from the city’s space a central component in the formulation of events and the furnishing of worlds.

The city appeared in this narration expressing the visions and ideas that combine between the psychological and social, and was distinguished by its difference between the private and the general, where the first related to the female self and the second in which the female contrived the man, transcending all the norms and traditions of them.
