The theory of symbolic violence is one of the theories that emerged in the second half of the twentieth century, and dealt with power relations in modern societies.

However, Pierre Bourdieu, the theoretician, spoke of the development of a theory that explains these relations, known as the theory of symbolic violence.

Violence, which is one of the components of politics, or as one of its tools, appears symbolically and covertly.

This symbol is in the language of political discourse, images, the media and others.

This theory is based on the critical analysis of discourse, through which we can see manifestations of violence in the language of political discourse.

The language appeared on All slogans in Algeria demonstrations, which began on 22 February 2019, and through this article we will explore the symbolic manifestations of violence in the slogans of the Algerian popular movement.
