Several applied economic studies have pointed to the positive role that MFIs, especially the banks of the poor, can play in alleviating poverty and unemployment, which are one of the most important problems facing Iraq today, after reaching the levels of serious calls for the search for new solutions.

And the banks of the poor one of those solutions that proved successful in many countries, especially Bangladesh, where the first bank of this kind, these banks are effective tools in combating poverty and unemployment by increasing the incomes of individuals and developing their projects and thus reducing their vulnerability to external shocks, as well as creating jobs through financing new SMEs and developing existing projects.

These banks are not only interested in providing the poor with their means to achieve specific goals through social interactions, training, health and education support.
