Abstract EN

: The knowledge ofthe “ term” is considered an essential element within the core of the science and its methodology.

It is a sign representing a specific field of knowledge that identifies and teaches speech, and a word or group of words that transcends their verbal and lexical meanings to intellectual perceptions and their designation within a given framework.

Old and modern scholars were interested in different approaches to terminology and concepts.

They focused their attention on the linguistic sign, its nature, its elements and the relationship between its components.

Al-Razi is one of the brightest one who has dealt with this idea, especially in the introduction to his interpretation "Keys of the Unseen"; he is one of the pioneering scholars who had an abstract view of the language as a network of existential and communicative relations according to a precise and an objective methodology.

Thus, his contribution in the field of defining some concepts and linguistic issues was very sophisticated compared to his time.

This contributionalso included many fields of the linguistic lesson such as audio, conjugation, grammar and others.

The Introduction to His Interpretation was a clear evidence of that linguistic outlook through a set of concepts and linguistic issues that he discussed.

It is worth mentioning from these linguistic bases: (the significance of the word about its meaning is not subjective), (the maxim of assigning words to meanings), (meaning as the name of the mental image), and (the word indicates the mental meaning not the external meaning)and other concepts that we attempt to clarify by means of a - terminological conceptual – approach between Al-Razi’s view of the linguistic sign and the De Saussure's view of the linguistic guide, through his book "Lessons in general linguistics".

This would be by extracting the term used and its concept from both views, and the linguistic vision presented by each.
