Abstract EN

Monetary and fiscal policies are among the most important macroeconomic policy instruments on which economies depend to influence economic activity in general and the performance of financial markets in particular.

Therefore, the study used the analysis of the relationship between monetary and financial policies and the performance of the Iraqi Stock Exchange for the period (2006 - 2017) with the use of multiple regression method based on annual data.

The study aims to indicate the relationship between the variables of monetary and fiscal policy and the market value of the Iraq Stock Exchange.

The results of the study showed the significant effect of the independent variables represented by (foreign exchange rate, the general revenues, the general expenditures and the general budget) with the exception of the policy price on the dependent variable represented by the market value in the Iraq Stock Exchange.

The results also proved the positive effect of the independent variables except the general expenditures and the general budget paragraph on the market value.

The study recommended the need to activate the role of monetary policy and correct the role of fiscal policy to support and develop the Iraqi market for securities.
