Abstract EN

The old people category is a part the society who needs a particular legal protection; it was a matter of several of international conventions mainly in the United Nations principes concerning the old people recognized by the general assembly in her resolution N° 91-46 dated on 16 december 1991.

The Algerian government has made a stronglegal and constitutional cover to protect this category and recognizedher rights in accordance with law 10-12 dated on 29 december 2012 and an operational fram has been made to take in charge this category in accordance with the executive decree n°12-113 dated on 07 March 2012 In addition the legal protection given by law n° 84-11 concerninng the family law modified and completed mainly the relation ship betwenn ascendants and descendants in the general case the inheritance system alos the penal protetion has been establisched by the order n° 66-156 concerning the penal code modified and completed.
