Abstract EN

The following study aims at identifying the current situation of applying the scientific method on local development and to what extent does the scientific approach help us in understanding the situation of local development.

The viewpoint of university professors, the descriptive method and the use of the necessary tools for the study have all been relied upon in this study at hand.

The study is conducted by 2 researchers from the university of djelfa, faculty of the humanities and social science and a random sample of 40 university professors were surveyed, the results were as follows: -the scientific method is of little influence on local development according to university professors-difficulties that stand against the use of the scientific method on local development are: 1-research efforts are not linked or does not have a relationship with the goals of local development.
