The present work aimed to measure the performance indicators of SMEs in the wilaya of Oran in Algeria, as well as the explanation of the characteristics and divergences between the different sectors of activities of the companies surveyed.
It focuses on a specific unit of analysis, namely SMEs in the sectors: "manufacturing industries, buildings and public works, and import-export", whose objective is to explain their financial difficulties simultaneously with the maintenance market shares at national level, this is what led us to question the link between these two realities, to answer the following main question: What performance of SMEs in the wilaya of Oran? As a result, our results are a well-argued extension to the surveys carried out in [2006] by the Euro-Development SME program as part of the implementation of the upgrading program, and which identified the 03 broad categories of companies in Algeria, performing, medium and low.
